Must this be secured to a pad or can I pour my own "footers" to secure it?
Dear valued customer, For your question, Yes, you can install the gazebo on a concrete pad. But when it comes to securing the unit on solid foundations, such as patio concrete or wood, Sunjoy recommends you secure it with the appropriate anchors like tapcon screws or expansion bolts. While these types of anchors are not supplied with the product, they can be easily purchased at your local hardware or home store. Thank you.

Does this meet FL state building code? Apparently I need proof of this for my building permit.
Dear Customer,our gazebos are not permanent building, there is no engineer certification or other building permits. Please check with your local governing authority / local municipal codes regarding installation of structures before assembly.
