Dear Valued Customer, the wind scale of this gazebo is five. We recommend taking down the unit during winter to avoid any damages. And take note the unit is not a permanent structure.

Is it possible to place these posts in a planter with cement to prevent them from blowing away? no way to anchor here.

But when it comes to securing the unit on solid foundations, such as patio concrete or wood, Sunjoy recommends you secure it with the appropriate anchors like tapcon screws, wood screws, or expansion bolts. While these types of anchors are not supplied with the product, they can be easily purchased at your local hardware or home store.
