This Sunjoy solar carport with an energy storage module is an innovative and sustainable solution for harnessing solar energy to power electric vehicles. This structure combines the benefits of solar panels with a carport design, providing shade for vehicles while generating clean, renewable energy.
The integrated solar panels and the battery energy storage system allow the self-generation and self-consumption of electricity simultaneously and manage separate peak and valley arbitrage. Additionally, suppose the photovoltaic power generation is greater than the amount of electricity consumed by the loads. In that case, surplus electricity can be sold back to the local grid, to make a profit.
When local electrical costs are lowest: purchase electricity from the grid to charge the energy storage system, then utilize this stored power to supply loads during peak electric-cost periods (ultimately saving money for users).
